Sale Conditioning

We are proud to offer our Sale Conditioning service to the public. This service entails preparing horses to be sold in major auctions, through a regimented routine consisting of exercise, grooming, and nutrition management. Because of our extensive career and 39 World Championships in the AQHA Halter and Performance fields, we have developed a successful program to help your horses look their best when sale time approaches. This service also allows unlimited exposure to many prospective buyers, due to the high volume of clients who visit our ranch to view the stallions we stand. And don’t forget, you never get a second chance to make a first impression

Embryo Transfer

Since our implementation of this procedure, mare owners have been utilizing the embryo transfer for numerous reasons. It not only allows show mares to produce foals during their show career, but also eliminates birthing risks for older and more fragile mares, not to mention the ability for mares to have multiple foals during any given year. This procedure entails removing a 7-day embryo from the donor mare, and having it implanted in a recipient mare who will carry the foal through the full term of the pregnancy, and raise the foal as its own until weaning. **Since the settlement of the AQHA lawsuit regarding registration of multiple embryos, the AQHA is now allowing individuals to register multiple foals out of any given mare per year.

Cooled and Frozen Shipped Semen (On Availability)

Since you can’t always bring your mares to the Manion Ranch, it is still possible to breed to some our fine stallions. Because of our domestic and international cooled and frozen shipped semen programs, which enable us to ship freshly collected and cooled semen, you are able to breed your mare in a timely fashion. This program has allowed us to maintain our strong commitment to our clients ensuring that no matter their location or hardship, they may still get their mares in foal.

Federally Approved Quarantine Facility

Along with being Federally approved for International semen shipping, we also have been approved as a Quarantine facility for shipping horses overseas. Upon a strict evaluation of our facility, this approval was granted by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), and is an important element in fulfilling the total needs of our clients. This service allows your horse to be federally quarantined for a period of time determined by the specifications of the importing country. While being quarantined, your horse will receive exercise, nutrition management, and any medical requirements, while under the watchful eyes of the Manion Ranch Staff, and attending veterinarians.

Year-Round Mare Care

We are happy to invite our clients to leave their mares at our ranch year-round. This service not only allows your mare to be bred, foaled out, and receive health care maintenance for both mare and foal, but also have the foal weaned and halter broke at the appropriate time, thus saving you time and money.
